It’s taking a bit of time for my immune system to become accustomed to the strains of bugs in the city, and I’ve had a series of flu/cold/flesh eating bacterias. But, every day I’ve been collecting at least a few blocks worth of paper, with occasional long walks.
My main goal in these next few months is to find alternate modes of collection and documentation in addition long solitary walks. New friends in my neighborhood have shown me their histories. Errands have taken all day. I’ve been drawing typographical moments and not just taking snapshots. This is all slowly evolving as my health improves and I’m forced to spend time inside, but the community aspect will be my focus from here until completion.
I’m writing an article about my process and adventures for the amazing individuals at Nowhere Magazine. Have a look at what they do here.
